Britt has loved creating since childhood. She took as many art classes as possible in middle and high school growing up and has dabbled in drawing, fashion, ceramics, photography, screen printing, soap making- you name it. It wasn't until around 2012 that she found something that would satisfy her equally left-and-right-sided brain. Something that was both technical, methodical, yet artistic: NAILS!
She started Britts Nail Bar swiftly after finishing nail school in 2017 and has hustled tirelessly to make her salon the greatest around, in every capacity. She loves building positive relationships and providing an unparalleled experience for clients as well as mentoring and building up the other nail artists in the salon. Connecting with other women-owned businesses is one of her favorite parts of being in the small business community.
I hope to see you in our space soon!
"I can honestly say that the universe has always wanted me to be a Nail Tech. I mean I basically tripped and fell into this profession. But I had no idea then that it would be the best fall of my life!
I’ve dabbled in all sorts of crafty trades from creating cute tumblers to t shirt design even brand design. I love being able to think of an idea and see it come to life. Which is why I’ve always loved doing nails and nail art.
I’ve also crafted two sweet human beings! I have a son and daughter who are my world and my little besties. You will catch us at the park or on a walk on any sunny day.
There is so much more to me that makes me, me- & I can’t wait for us to get to know each other. "
I’ve always been drawn to art and from a young age one of my biggest hobbies has been doing nails! Throughout the years something that I could always use to calm and bring peace to myself has been letting my creativity flow.
My sister has been a huge support, from the beginning she let me gift her with some very lumpy looking acrylics and as I started to make a career and really practice daily, my boyfriends nails were looking gorgeous as well. The decision to go full steam ahead with my nail tech career has been amazing, I fully feel like this is what I’m meant to be doing and have never had so much fun, and felt so sure of a job ever before, it truly doesn’t feel like work to me.
Anything painting or sculpting related has always interested me. My father introduced me to painting and taping drywall and I did that for a few years as well, developing techniques and skill that I use even now with nails.
In my free time you’ll catch me at the lake or in the sunshine with my golden/ cocker spaniel mix Milo and family.
For about as long as I can remember, going to the nail salon has been one of my favorite experiences. My mother and I often spent hours of our weekends at our local salon in my town, and I guess you could say that’s where my love of nails was born.
I always had a passion for beauty and after receiving my MBA I knew I wanted to make that passion my life. I began doing my own nails in college and once I graduated, I made the decision to go to school to receive my Nail Technician License. It has been one of the best and most fulfilling choices I have made.
My innate love for art and beauty, coupled with a severe case of perfectionism is my formula for a stellar set of nails. I give my everything into every set and the art I do. I believe the process of creating a beautiful set is truly a collaboration between the client and myself. I look forward to joining forces in the pursuit of perfect nails :)
How often can we say we’ve experienced a second chance at life? I’ve always known myself as a creative person with a big personality. However, I found myself in a successful career that provided stability, growth, but ultimately no purpose or fulfillment. I had spent the better part of my days dreaming of what if, or what life could have possibly been had I pursued all of my truest passions. So when the doors closed on this career - I realize this was my second chance.
I began my new journey with pursuing makeup professionally. Though fulfilled - my spirit was still searching for more challenging ways to express my creativity. Like many others, I had found myself watching my nail technician at my local salon. Often saying to myself, “wow, how do they make it look so easy, I would never be able to do that.” So naturally, during covid, I had found myself doing my nails at home. Within that, grew a bond with the art of nails. From the simplicity of nail care, nail enhancements and nail art, and the ever evolving artistic complexity of this industry; this is where I belong.
After having graduated nail school, I have never felt more at purpose than I do now. The experience I share with my clients and my peers are what make this “job” worth the while. I hope to share a little bit of the magic I receive from being able to create with all of my future clients!
Lucy and Frankie are Britts two dogs that sometimes hang (sleep) around the salon Mon-Thursdays. They are super sweet rescue babies from Ohio. Yes, you can pet them.
